Sending Digital Art to Cadmus knowledgeworks


Cadmus KnowldegeWorks tries to be as flexible as possible while keeping file transmissions accurate and efficient. Listed below are the types of formats and protocols CKW accepts. Please visit our Resources page to download software utilities.

Fill this out and include it with your submission.
 


Acceptable Media

  • 3.5" diskettes (Mac/Win)
  • CD-ROM (Mac/Win)
  • Iomega Zip Disk (Mac/Win)
  • Iomega Jaz Disk (Mac/Win)
  • Imation Super Disk 120MB (Mac)

Compression

  • PKZIP or WINZIP for Windows
  • Stuffit for Macintosh
  • Any self-extracting compression software

Supported Platforms

  • Macintosh
  • Windows 95/98
  • Windows NT

FTP

  • FTP services can be arranged for some publishers.
    Please consult the journal office.

Remember, resolutions for raster files must be at least:

  • 300 dpi for halftones
  • 600 dpi for lettering
  • 1200 dpi for monochrome
  • Label and lock the disk.
  • Never send your only copy of a file.
  • Digital art must be received with the manuscript.
  • Please include a laser proof of all files sent to CKW.
