We do not accept any application files EXCEPT Microsoft PowerPoint Presentation files . All files must be in TIFF , EPS or PPT format. Please visit our Digital Art Site for specific instructions for each application.

Submission Guidelines Media:

  • 3.5" diskettes (Mac/Win formatted)
  • CD-ROM (Mac/Win)
  • Iomega Zip Disk (Mac/Win)
  • Iomega Jaz Disk (Mac/Win)
  • Imation Super Disk 120MB (Mac)

Compression:

  • PKZIP or WINZIP (for DOS or Windows)
  • StuffIt for Macintosh
  • Any self-extracting compression software

 

Resolutions must be at least:

  • 300 dpi for halftones (grayscale or color)
  • 600 dpi for lettering
  • 1200 dpi for line art
  • 600 dpi for combination halftones
    (a graphic with lettering and halftones)

Fonts Accepted:

  • Helvetica (Regular, Oblique, Bold Oblique)
  • Times Roman (Roman, Italic, Bold, Bold Italic)
  • Symbol
  • Mathematical PI
  • European PI
  • Have you supplied your manuscript on a separate disk from your images?
  • Have you checked the resolution and color mode of all scanned images?
  • Have you submitted the figure(s) in the size(s) at which it will be printed?
  • Have you specified what fonts you have used?
  • Have you used only the approved fonts?

 
  • If you are supplying a multipanel figure, are all parts assembled into a single file?
  • Have you included all linked files, TIFF or EPS?
  • Have you locked and labeled your disk?
  • Have you carefully checked your camera-ready copy and the digital version of the image for accuracy?
  • Have you ensured that files do not contain RGB color?
